Soybean meal is used in animal feeds, principally as a protein supplement, but also as a source of metabolizable energy. The sample of soybean meal has been collected from different region of the Bangladesh. In 2020, Soybean meal production for Bangladesh was 2250 thousand tones’ and rising at an increasing annual rate that reached a maximum of 14.50% in 2020. Soybean meal is the most important protein source used to feed farm animals. It represents two-thirds of the total world output of protein feedstuffs, including all other major oil meals and fish meal.

Physical Characteristics: Color varies with extraction method- for SBOM solvent bright yellow to golden yellow and for SBOM expeller yellowish brown. Odor of the soybean meal is fresh and nutty. Physical properties of soybean meal, including particle size and particle size distributions, bulk density and true density, and repose angle and drain angle, were studied in the laboratory. Evaluation of particle size and particle size distributions by a standard method revealed that 70% of the particles fell into the medium and fine range (between 0.595 and 1.19 mm).
